Marina Kifferstein (of TAK Ensemble and the Rhythm Method) and I offer duos by ourselves and the incredible violinist-composer Christopher Otto, exploring just intonation harmonies and radical retunings. We also team up with composer Weston Olencki’s modular synthesizer to create a trio improvisation and Weston’s trombone makes an appearance in a new trio by Marina.
My new study for two violins receives its world premiere, an exploration of microtonal dyads that blend and clash as they move through time in radically shifting perspectives.
